Proper preparation and application are important to achieving an even ceramic coating. OCD Auto Care brings hands-on paint correction experience and professional training to every job. Our team has completed IGL training and uses Clean By Pan products for ceramic coating applications.

We focus on quality installation and service throughout the process, from preparing the paint to applying the coating and explaining its aftercare. Most services are completed within one to three days, depending on the work your vehicle requires.

What Happens During Ceramic Coating Application?

Ceramic coating doesn’t remove existing scratches or swirl marks, so paint correction may be appropriate if the finish is dull or marked. Polishing can reduce these imperfections and create a more even surface for the coating.

Once the paint is ready, we thoroughly clean it and remove polishing residue and oils that could interfere with the coating’s bond. We then apply the coating in sections, carefully removing excess product to create an even finish and prevent visible high spots or patches.

The coating then needs time to cure, or harden. We’ll let you know when you can use your vehicle normally and when it’s ready for its first wash.

How Do You Maintain Ceramic Coating?

Ceramic coating still requires routine care to maintain its appearance and protective qualities. Wash your vehicle regularly to remove dirt and road grime, and dry the surface afterward to reduce water spots.

After your coating is applied, we’ll explain how to care for it and when you can complete the first wash. We also provide a follow-up phone call to answer questions and offer maintenance programs for continued professional care.
